Wunderlist in 2015
From Founder & CEO, Christian Reber
Every day, we work with the goal of making Wunderlist even better. We want to constantly improve the way we help you get stuff done. So much so, that this year you will see Wunderlist help you get stuff done in smarter, more intuitive ways. From an intelligent way to capture to-dos and sort lists, to productivity-boosting integrations with your favorite apps—2015 is going to be big!
It all starts with the 10 million to-dos you create each week. Lists do a great job at keeping those to-dos organized and now thanks to the arrival of Folders, Wunderlist will help you focus on just the lists you need, when you need them.
Arriving soon, Folders will make it incredibly simple to keep your personal, family and home lists separate from all of your work and project lists—yet they are only a tap away when you need them.
This is just the beginning. When we were designing Folders, we spotted the opportunity to make what Wunderlist does best, even better. The result? A completely new design for your Home/Sidebar and the arrival of Quick Add.
Just like you, we know that when an idea strikes it needs to be quickly captured. With one tap of Quick Add’s blue circle, you can instantly add a to-do or a new list. What’s really special, is that adding to-dos to Wunderlist has become truly intelligent. Like magic, Quick Add instantly recognizes and creates a Reminder and Due Date as you type or speak.
Coming after Folders and Quick Add is perhaps one of the most important and exciting features we will ever launch. I’ve always envisioned a Wunderlist that connects to every service imaginable on the web. So I’m very excited to announce that we will be launching Integrations and our Public API.
We will be launching with some of your most requested integrations like starring an email in Gmail to add it to your Wunderlist; Being able to see when your colleagues create and check-off to-dos in Slack or HipChat; or sync Wunderlist with your favorite note taking app. Plus, there will be plenty more to come.
The possibilities are quite literally endless. With the launch of our Public API, all you software developers out there, will be able to fully integrate Wunderlist with your products, apps and services. If you are a developer and are interested in integrating your product with Wunderlist, please email email@example.com—we’d love to have you on board!
It’s really important that you can access your to-dos, no matter where you are or what device you are using. That’s why we make an incredible 8 apps for Wunderlist—we’ve got you covered on your phone, tablet, computer and smart watch. We also want to make the Wunderlist experience feel distinctly familiar no matter the device, but also natural to the platform you are using. So this year, we’ll be launching Wunderlist for Android Lollipop and Windows 10. We’re also already preparing our iPhone, iPad and Mac apps for the next generation of iOS and OS X. This year, yet again, Wunderlist will continue to deliver you a truly seamless cross-platform experience, that no other product can match.
Project management software is rarely associated with simplicity, beauty or fun. We want to change that. With more than 90,000 teams using Wunderlist, our goal is to bring the simplicity and power of lists to an even wider audience.
To achieve that, we’ll be launching a brand new Wunderlist for Work later in 2015. Wunderlist for Work will deliver the most-requested business features—activity logs, business-owned lists, a central dashboard, rights management and custom webhooks.
For the team and myself, it’s always been about you, our amazing 11-million-strong community, that has helped us make Wunderlist what it is today—a beautiful, easy to use, and dependable way to help you get stuff done. Now that you know about just some of the incredible features that are coming this year, I want to hear what you think! Just leave a comment below, hit me up on Twitter or head right on over to our Uservoice forum. I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback, feature ideas and suggestions.
