With Wunderlist for Outlook

We are super excited to bring you our first Integration with Microsoft Office - say hello to Wunderlist for Outlook! Every day your inbox get inundated with emails. And it’s all too easy to lose track of emails that are more tasks than correspondence. With that in mind, we’ve worked closely with the Outlook team to bring you a simple way of getting your tasks out of your inbox and into your to-do lists.

Please note: The new Outlook.com is scheduled to be available to everyone by August 2016.

Divide and Conquer

To get the most out of Wunderlist for Outlook, it’s best to adopt the mantra of ‘divide and conquer’... As soon as you open an email, decide its fate—Reply, Delete or Add to Wunderlist. When you come across an email that’s more task than correspondence, click the Wunderlist button.

You’ll see the add-in slide into your email. Wunderlist then instantly turns the subject into the task name and the body into a note. Select the list you wish to send your email to, set a helpful Reminder, then click ‘Add to Wunderlist’. Without ever having to leave Outlook, you can quickly and easily plan your day. N.B. A new way to email and collaborate

Now that you’ve got your inbox taken care of, let’s take a look at the other Wunderlist for Outlook feature. Whether you need to loop a teammate into a project at work or share your vacation plans with a loved one, you can use our Outlook add-in to share a list via email.

When you’re writing or replying to an email just click on the Wunderlist button. Your lists will then show in the right sidebar. Choose the relevant list, click ‘Share List’ and the rest is magic! When your friend or teammate opens up the email, all they need to do is click on the ‘View List’ button and they can start collaborating right away.

Getting Wunderlist for Outlook

Our Outlook add-in is available for users of the new Outlook.com, Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016, and Outlook on the web for Office 365 subscribers. To use the add-in with your desktop app, you’ll need to first install it from the Office store. Soon, users of the new Outlook.com will be able to access Wunderlist for Outlook via the add-in commands on top of your screen. Can’t see it yet? Sit tight, the add-in commands will be coming to North America first and then to other parts of the world. In the meantime, you can also install it from the Office store.
